Howes, U.S.iana (1650-1950) 480. This English edition published 5 days prior to the American. The last 32 pp. advertisment from Chatto & Windus, dated December 1887. A curious fact is that the book is the first submitted to a publisher as a typewritten manuscript (typed by Twain´s secretary from his manuscript).
