Hand-coloured engraved seachart elaborately embellished with two large strapwork cartouches, large compass rose, sea monsters, and two sailing ships, on land there are animals like a fox, wild boar and a goat. Ca. 325x505 mm. Centrefold with slight wear in the middle, some crease to the right. Engraved by Ionnes a Doetecum.
A very early sea chart covering the southeastern coast of Sweden from Ystad and Sandhammaren in Skåne to Kalmer, including portions of the islands of Bornholm and Oland. Many details including soundings, sandbars, anchorages, towns, and coastal topography.
