Folio (about 348x204 mm.). (14), 1-368, (70) pp. Engraved frontispiece, title with woodcut vignette, 22 (of 23, lacks plate 23, some dampstainig) engraved plates. Text some dampstaining and foxing. +

Folio (about 348x204 mm.). (12), 1-36, 1-256, 261-322, 327-610 pp. ff. 611-614, pp. 615-730, 729-778, (32). Title with engraved vignette (dampstainied, mended tear in lower margin), 35 engraved plates (minor foxing). Text some marginal dampstaining at end, some foxing.
Contemporary brown full calf, somewhat worn, gilt borders, richly gilt spine in seven comnpartments, marbled edges. Old signatures on first free endpaper, old annotations on verso of first endpaper. Bookplates of Fredruik Rudbeck, Fredrik Thott and Laurentii Stolt.

Provenance: Thomsen, Danish "etatsråd" (civil servant), Copenhagen, Berndt Kallenberg Copenhagen 1866, Hans A. Dyrssen (1862-1924), cavalry captain, Eka manor in Scania, Fredrik Thott (1881-1957), baron, cavalry captain, Ystad in Scania, son-in-law to Dyrssen, Fredric Rudbeck (1909-2000), baron, captain, Lars C. Stolt.

The two parts was first published in 1680 and later reissued under the general half title "Opus heraldicum" by Zenner in Frankfurt 1690. The first part is the second edition of that later edition. The only difference between the editions is the slightly changed printed titlepage to part one and the half title. The second part is in the first printing of 1680.
