8vo. 207 x 129 mm. VIII, 526 pp. Engraved extra title, 39 engraved plates. Black later calf with gilt spine with raised bands, gilt-framed boards with gilt inner bordures, all edges gilt (Bayntun Riviere). Gilt portrait of the author on front board, his signature in gilt facsimile on the rear. A few minor stains. Occasional very faint offsetting from the plates, otherwise a very fine copy of the first illustrated book edition of Dickens´s first book.
