Folio. C. 290 x 215 mm. 177 engraved plates, of which 24 in full spread. 2 worn contemporary half vellum bindings with blue paper boards. Partly loose in binding (cracks in inner hinge from extraction of plates). Some stains and tears at edges. Some worming in bottom margin. Enumeration with ink throughout.

Plates from "Arts et metiers", depicting topics of industry and technology (with their tools and implements) such as "salines", "salpètre", "serrurerie", "soufre", "sucrerie", "tabletier cornetier", "taillanderie", "tireur & fileur d´or", "tonnelier", " tourneur", "verrerie", "vitrier" etc.
