JAPAN. 96 photographs, c. 1920-30ies, all mounted on paper in album. Size c. 140x100 mm. Photographs partly faded, some spotting, some some minor damages to corners. Handwritten text in Swedish beneath.
Album in green imitated leather, worn, lower board partly dampstained. Inside of cover with signature in pencil of Karin de Laval, Karlavägen, Stockholm.

The photographs shows life in the rice fields, female tea pickers, tea cermonies and tea silk worms, silk weaving, fishing, finding of a mola (ocean sunfish), oyster picker, wrestling, sumo wrestlers, umbrella makers, geishas, Shiba Park, Tokyo.
