Handcoloured engraved map with figurative cartouche in the corner, c. 353x430 mm. Rolled, with centrefold as issued, small tear to margin.
An attractive map of China, which first appeared in the "Complete System Of Geography" of 1747. Bowen (c.1693-1767) was an English engraver, publisher and mapseller who was active in London from about 1720.
