Small 8vo. Frontispiece portraits, additional engraved titles, plates, illustrations, 2 pp. advertisements at end of each vol. Original blind-stamped cloth, spines gilt, partly worn and rubbed, joints partly split, lacking front endpapers. Text with some spotting and staining, a few leaves with minor damages to margins.
Together with: United States exploring expedition, Bowman, Anne: The Bear-Hunters of the Rocky Mountains (London 1861, illustrated, blue original cloth, worn), Sleight, Mary B: Prairie Days of our home in the Far West. (London, no date, c. 1896, illustrated, original cloth, partly worn), THE NEW ZEALANDERS, containing a Narrative of the First Discovery of the Island and the Adventures of its early visitors, with an Interesting Description of its present Inhabitants, to which is added the Personal History of a Sailor who was detained by them for several years. (London no date, c. 1847, map and illustrations, some dampstaining, original green cloth, slightly worn, faded spine).
