Trofim Lysenko (1898-1976) was a Soviet biologist, whose ideas, opposing modern genetics, won the support of Stalin and the Communist Party. The second work in this lot contains his speech condemning and banning scientific genetics. It was not until 1964 that the pseudo-science of ´Lysenkoism´ was officially abandoned.
