4to. C. 280 x 220 mm. 40 engraved plates and 1 engraved sheet of music. 2 title leaves. A few plates with text attached to rear. Loose in plain paper wrappers with old printed grey wrapper rectangles pasted. Some stains.

Part I lacks plates 11 and 21, part II lacks plates 8 and 10.

Plates only. Bemerkungen auf einer Reise um die Welt in den Jahren 1803 bis 1807 was published in 1812 with 2 text volumes and an atlas in two parts. The voyage began as part of Krusenstern´s expedition, but von Langsdorff took leave in Kamtchatka. The plates are engraved, after his own and Ludwig Heinrich Bojanus´s drawings, by Friedrich Leonhard Lehmann, Johann Heinrich Lips, Gottlieb Wilhelm Hüllmann, Johann Carl Bock, Christian Haldenwang and Philipp Veith.
