PASCAL, B. Pensées de m. Pascal sur la religion et sur quelques autres sujets, qui ont esté trouvées après sa mort parmy ses papiers. Seconde edition. Paris (chez Guillaume Desprez) 1670.
Small 8:o (about 155x83 mm.). (78), (1)-348, (20) pp. 1 engraved vignette.
Contemporary brown full calf, worn, faded gilt spine in six compartments, some damages at foot, mended at head, redspeckled edges. A few inkstains on outer edge which shows slightly in outer margin. Minor foxing. Bookplate on inside of upper cover, catalogue cuts pasted on last endpaper.
Really the third edition, even if the title says the second. Published at the same date as the first edition. With the"grand" on p. 306 not corrected.
