Lacking the 17:th supplemental volume which was published in 1981.
This edition is richly illustrated, the second edition from 2006 lacks the illustrations.
The Encyclopaedia is based on The Encyclopaedia Judaica, published by the Eschkol Verlag in Berlin 1928-1934, which were not finished, ended with vol. X and the word Lyra, of 15 planned volumes.
