Large hand-coloured engraved map with vignettes and illustrations, 4 leaves joined together. C. 530 x 1170 mm. Framed.

Johann Jakob Scheuchzer (1672-1733), Swiss scholar. His map was first printed in Zürich in 1712. It is considered the best map of Switzerland until the end of the 18th century.
