The medieval Schloss Hallwil (or Hallwyl) in Seengen in Switzerland was renovated under Nils Lithberg by commision of the owners Walther and Wilhelmina von Hallwyl during the 1910:s. The castle had originally been bilt during the 12th century, but added to many times and -especially dring the 19th century- rather brutally altered. Lithberg´s work is both an archaeological report and an architectural inventory.
