Plates in monochrome and colour. 3 leaves with original watercolour depictions of fragments, cut to contour. Worn publisher´s green cloth. Damp to foot of spines, also affecting lower part of bottom margin. Cracks in hinges. Dedication from the author to his parents in each volume. 2 volumes.

The 2 extra leaves at the end of volume II with 13 tipped-in original watercolour depictions, indexed to the black and white plates. Presumably executed by the author, definitely not part of the original publication.

From the library of Carl Robert Lamm, the author´s father. Carl Johan Lamm (1902-1981), Swedish orientalist and art historian. He was one of the foremost experts on islamic glass and textile.
