Large 8vo. 257x161 mm. X, 838, (7) pp. 25 chromolithographed plates. Somewhat worn contemporary calf. Minor stains, occasional soiling to margins. Monbtevideo bookseller´s label onb front board inside.

First edition of the Spanish translation, with coversion tables of measurements from metric to old Spanish by Eusebio Freixa y Rabasó. The French original was published in 1867.

Provenance: Clas Ifvarsson (1941-2012), Swedish business manager and politician. His impressive book collection was mainly dedicated to 17th-18th century Swedish literature, but his cultural interests were broad, which his large library bore witness to.
