Large 8vo. (205x120 mm.). Engraved frontispiece title, (20), 1081, (54) pp. 1 folding engraved world map by Bertius, "Orbis terrarum ex mente... ", many engravings in text.
Contemporary full vellum, partly worn and soiled, boards with gilt frame and a large gilt coat-of-arms of the city of Amsterdam with the letter "O" under a royal crown, gilt spine with leather title label, faded, lacking bands.
