Folio (315x230 mm.). Original green printed wrappers bound in. Richly illustrated with black and white photographic and other illustrations.
Later grey half cloth bindings, worn and partly loose in binding. Magazines with some minor tears to margins, some spotting and soiling.

The "Niva" illustrated magazine was published in Russia from 1870-1918. It had the largest circulation among all the Russian print periodicals of that time. Founded by A. F. Marx, a German immigrant.

These magazines contains some images of tsar Nicolas and his family, images of the army, the ortodox church etc.
