4to (c. 255x200 mm.). (16, lacks half title), 142, 142-157 pp. 1 woodcut plate (of the Lapland sledge), 7 engraved plates T. Bewick - R. Bellby (all). Worn half calf, spiune defective. Some foxing and minor stains. Faint offsetting from the engarved plates.

Consett was the first Englishman to visit the north part of Lapland. The text was ghosted by a young clergyman, John Brewster of Stockton, on the basis of desultory notes taken by Consett and two friends during their unprepared and sudden outing to Sweden.

One of the very few publications that Thomas Bewick illustrated with copper engravings.
