4to. 242 x 210 mm. XVI, 814, (4), 791, (1) pp. Worn contemporary half calf with gilt spines, marbled boards and sprinkled edges. Some minor stains. Both front fly leaves cut, the first with owner´s signature of Marcks von Würtemberg.
A pioneering work. Earlier editions with the title "Kritisches griechisch-deutsches Wörterbuch". A supplement (not present here) was published in 1821.
Provenance: Clas Ifvarsson (1941-2012), Swedish business manager and politician. His impressive book collection was mainly dedicated to 17th-18th century Swedish literature, but his cultural interests were broad, which his large library bore witness to.
