GRIGORII ALEXANDROVICH SRETINSKY (Russia 1899-1973): Work on the Farm, oil on canvas, 62 x 116 cm

A student of Piotr Konchalovsky, Sretinsky studied at the Moscow Higher Art and Technical Institute (VKhuTeIn) from 1918-1923 and was a member of ´Existence´ (Bytie) from 1921-28 and the Association of Artists of the Revolution (AKhR) from 1927-1932. He met his wife Nina Sergeevna Stenshinskaya in 1923. He died in Moscow in 1973.
